🚨 Community Safety Alert – LOWFIELD AVENUE/ RIDGEWAY Area 🚨

Yesterday we have received a report of a Nissan Note driving repeatedly around the Lowfield Avenue / Ridgeway area with several individuals inside wearing balaclavas. The vehicle was seen driving up and down Lowfield Avenue at 18:29, 18:32 and 18:39, appearing to look for something.

As many of you are aware, we’ve had a recent rise in motor vehicle thefts and burglaries locally. While we continue to patrol the area and investigate, we ask all residents to remain vigilant and take steps to keep your homes and vehicles secure.

🔒 Safety Advice for Residents:

Ensure doors and windows are locked, even when you are at home.

Keep vehicles locked, and remove valuables from sight.

Leave outside lights on during the evening or use motion-activated lighting.

If you have CCTV or video doorbells, make sure they are working properly.

Report any suspicious vehicles or behaviour immediately via 101, or call 999 in an emergency.

Consider using steering locks, tracking devices, or home alarms where possible.

Keep garden gates, sheds, and garages securely locked.
