Information sent on behalf of Derbyshire Police & Crime Commissioner

Dear Citizen

I would like to personally invite you to attend an evening event within Amber Valley to listen to the concerns raised in your local area following the completion of my tour of Derbyshire where I visited 383 towns, villages and neighbourhoods. The tour which began in 2016 and concluded in late 2019 saw me meet residents from all sectors of the community to listen to their concerns around crime and policing matters.

I have arranged evening events in each local authority area across the county over the next coming months to feedback some of the key issues raised and outline some of the steps I have taken to address these matters.

The Amber Valley event is due to be held on Monday 20th January in the Genesis Centre, King Street, Alfreton, DE55 7DQ and will commence at 6:30pm (registration from 6:15pm) and finish by 8:00pm. Although booking isn’t essential, to guarantee your place and to help us gauge numbers, please visit
www.derbyshire-pcc.gov.uk/meet where you can electronically reserve your place, or call the office on 0300 122 6000.

Please kindly circulate this invitation as far as possible to anybody who may be interested in attending this event and hearing from the Police & Crime Commissioner for Derbyshire. Lastly, I have attached an electronic poster in both A4 and A3 size to promote the event. If you can I would appreciate if you could place these in any suitable public locations which you feel are appropriate.

Yours Faithfully,

Hardyal Dhindsa
Police & Crime Commissioner for Derbyshire
