Dispersal order extended and wanted persons arrested

DISPERSAL ORDER AND THE LATE PATROLS CONTINUE

A Section 34 dispersal order came into force in the town Friday 18 June and has been reviewed today and remains in place.
The order allows police to disperse people from parts of Swadlincote including the parks if they are involved in instances of anti-social behaviour, take anyone under 16 back to their home.

A dispersal order can only be authorised for a maximum period of 48 hours, an assessment has been carried out and further period of up to 48 hours has been authorised .

It was lovely to see families & friends of all ages playing on the parks and enjoying the fine evening weather.

WANTED MALES ARRESTED

Whilst out patrolling the team have come across two wanted males.

19/06/21 a male wanted for a fail to appear was arrested by Pc McGlade

20/06/21 eagle eyed Pcso Beattie spotted Leon TILT who was wanted for a shop theft, alerted sgt who arrested him. TILT has been charged and remanded to appear at Derby Magistrates court in the morning.
