On Friday 22/03 Eckington SNT was at Eckington CAMMS Primary School with the year 6's for a "Crime Scene Day" which is part of their Mini Police, every child had their investigative skills put to the test. The year 6's received a report of some money and jewels being stolen from the hall. Based on this report they conducted an investigation which consisted of collating a variety of evidence and learning new things such as; finger prints, scene logs, crime scene, the law/powers of a police officer at a scene, questioning witnesses and learning the correct caution to arrest their suspect. After a thorough investigation had taken place, the suspect was identified, and all evidence led to THE HEAD TEACHER. He was captured and subsequently arrested for theft. You never know, it could be one of these year 6's patrolling the streets in the future one day!
