Appeal after car set alight in Normanton


An arson investigation has been launched after a car fire in Normanton in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

 

Officers received a report that a vehicle was on fire in Cambridge Street at 3.05am on 26 March. 

 

Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service were already on scene and, following a fire investigation, determined that the fire had been started deliberately.

 

Detectives are treating this as an isolated incident and are appealing to the public for information.

 

Anyone in the surrounding area with private CCTV installed, with footage that has not already been viewed by officers, is asked to check it, and contact us should it have captured anything which may assist our investigation.
