An arson investigation has been launched after a car fire in Normanton in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
Officers received a report that a vehicle was on fire in Cambridge Street at 3.05am on 26 March.
Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service were already on scene and, following a fire investigation, determined that the fire had been started deliberately.
Detectives are treating this as an isolated incident and are appealing to the public for information.
