School Parking - Yellow Zig Zags

Resident

Dronfield SNT have been working closely with partner agencies in relation concerns about parking on yellow zig zags outside schools. Some people may have notices that just before or during the Easter holidays additional signage has appeared at Dronfield Infant and Jnr schools, Unstone Infant school along with other school linked to this issue. Many other schools in this area already have signage in place already and school that don't have this signage if they are suitable they may gain in in the future months.

Yellow zigzags with accompanying signs advise motorists not to wait or park there at any time for the safety of children and others. We can and do issue tickets for parking on them, based on causing an obstruction to other motorists or pedestrians. This is in conjunction with local parking enforcement officers as well. We appreciate that school parking pick up and drop offs are busy time but please consider local residents and zig zags are not to be used as a drop off point as it could mean enforcement action is taken against you.

Dronfield SNT will continue to work with key partners around road safety concerns as this is an issue regularly raised to the team.
