❗ CRIME PREVENTION ADVICE ❗

Are your home and car secure as they can be?

We're urging residents to consider how secure their property is to potential thieves.

👉đŸŊ  Do you have a house alarm? Or is your house alarm non-functional?
Burglars can recognise a house with no alarm or an old, no longer functioning system a mile off!

👉đŸŊ Do you have anti-snap locks, that are tried, tested and approved to SS312 Diamond standard?
Unfortunately, we see a high percentage of burglaries that have occurred due to the euro cylinder lock being broken, the most common lock in the UK, this requires zero skill and takes a thief no more than 5-10 seconds to complete. The process also makes very little noise!

👉đŸŊ How easily accessible is your back garden? Do you have a side gate? Is it lockable? Are there other potential entrances to the back of your house? Have you got a motion sensor light that comes on to draw attention to potential thieves?

👉đŸŊ Where do you leave your car keys at night? Are they easily accessible to anyone who forces their way into your home? Such as by the door, in the kitchen drawer or left in sight?
You can't go wrong with an obvious deterrent such as car steering wheel lock on your vehicles.

👉đŸŊ Is your car keyless?
Technology is great but it does have its downfalls that leaves it vulnerable to be exploited by criminals. Be careful that the wireless signal transmitted by your keyless fob can't be stolen by placing it in a signal-blocking pouch, better known as a Faraday Bag (including spare keys!).
