Calling all High Peak Youngsters – we want you views, ideas and inspiration…….

Glossop YET (youth engagement team) for Glossop and New Mills areas.

We ask - you say - we do!

Here at Glossop Safer Neighbourhood Team, the Youth Engagement officers are looking at facilities for youngsters in the area, and if they are adequate for our young adults and their needs.

As a police force, we tend to concentrate on issues in the area and form our local priority policing on those issues reported.  We hear little from our younger generation.

With this in mind, the Youth Engagement Team have created a quick survey.  The survey is aimed at children between the ages of 13 – 18 years.

We are aware that Alert members are mainly more mature people, so we are asking that as a member of Alert, you help us gain some answers from the youngsters.

How can you do this?

Firstly, forward this email to your young family members and friends and to parents in your friendship groups,  by clicking the ‘share’ button at the bottom of this email and forwarding the message to one of the social groups listed.  Ask the recipient to complete the survey for us, via the below link.

Secondly, encourage the youngsters to join Derbyshire Alert.  Members can be aged 13 and above.  They will receive updates from the Police, but more importantly, they can add their name to one of the groups ‘High Peak Students North’ ( this includes Glossop and New Mills) or ‘High Peak Students South ( this includes Buxton, Chapel, Whaley Bridge). By joining these groups, Buxton Youth Engagement Team will be able to keep in touch, giving information specifically for the younger generation.

Thank you for helping to spread the word.
