Update Following Derbyshire Talking Survey on Dog Fouling

💩 Dog Fouling…

It has been brought to our attention, when considering our next Priorities through researching on Derbyshire Alert and speaking to you at our Street Meets that dog fouling is a hot topic.

As Police do not deal with this issue specifically, we are offering the following advice…

Derbyshire Dales Council provide several dog bins to enable dog owners to clear up after their dog(s). These bins are emptied regularly, and the frequency of emptying differs depending on the location and usage of the bin. If there is no dog bin available, then you can put your dog waste into a normal district Council litter bin.

Allowing your dog to foul in open spaces and failing to clear it up is irresponsible, highly unpleasant, and potentially dangerous as dog faeces carry many germs. If your dog fouls in a public place please pick it up either using a suitable plastic bag, or a poop a scoop, and seal/dispose of it appropriately.

If you find that an area you specifically have concerns around Dog Fouling please visit, Report: problem with a litter or dog waste bin
( https://orlo.uk/UedeW ) and fill out the online form to report it. You can also view a schedule of when a dog bin should be emptied on the litter bin page.

Yuk!

The signs acts as a reminder to the small amount of irresponsible dog owners to think of the health risks if they don’t clear up after their dog(s).
