UPDATE ON CONCERNS AROUND POLICE PRESENCE

Hi,

Welcome to some more new users of Derbyshire alert.

Yesterday whilst patrolling the polling stations around the rural areas, I came across a farmer from Netherseal who was slightly anxious about witnessing alot of Police activity around his fields off the A444 near to Netherseal with marked Police cars.

There was a reported incident and the offender had ran off but was found in a nearby field off Mount Pleasant Lane in Netherseal. This was an isolated incident therefore nothing to worry about.

On a good note, whilst on school patrols around Rosliston yesterday afternoon, I was approached by a couple of young children with their mum stating there was an injured Pigeon in their Close and if I could help.

I put my bird skills to the test and carefully picked up the injured bird and eventually, with guidance realised there was not only rings around its legs with numbers, but a further white ring with a mobile number on it.

I rang the owner from Winshall and she was extremely happy of the finding of Fazer, and later on after being given antibiotics the owner messaged me to say Fazer may have been attacked by some kind of bird of prey after assessing the damaged wing.

Fazer should make a full recovery.

Thanks to Paul who made up an airated cardboard box and bird sat whilst waiting for Fazer to be collected πŸ‘β˜ΊοΈ
