Urgent appeal for witnesses after woman assaulted in Ashbourne


We are urgently appealing for witnesses after reports of a woman pushing a child in a pushchair being assaulted.

The incident took place near the leisure centre in Clifton Road at around 8pm last night (Wednesday 8 May).

The incident saw the victim, a woman in her 30s, assaulted by a man while she was pushing a pushchair.

A man in his 40s has been arrested in connection with the incident and remains in police custody.
