Update on E-Scooters

People in your area have raised priority issues regarding the use of E-Scooters.

It is fast approaching Christmas and I am sure your children will have given you their present list for Santa. At the top of most of these lists will be an Electric Scooter however Santa has already been informed that these are illegal for usage unless on private land with the owners consent.

Due to the dangers of said vehicles, your local Safer Neighbourhood Officers will be clamping down on their use and officers will be seizing them under the 165a Road Traffic Act 1988, we will be operating a ZERO tolerance policy.

Once seized, these electric scooters will NOT be returned to you as you will not be able to provide insurance details as they are uninsurable.

So, it would be advisable to spend your hard earned money wisely and maybe consider a pedal bike.

Thank you everyone, stay safe.
