E Scooters

We understand that buying an E-Scooters can be tempting, especially with the run up to Christmas.

HOWEVER You cannot ride them on UK roads, foot paths, cycle paths, or any other place the public have access.

The only place an E-scooter can be used is on PRIVATE LAND with the land owners permission.

There is now ZERO tolerance in Derbyshire to people riding E-scooters in a prohibited place.

Section 165A of the Road Traffic Act 1988, allows police to seize any motor vehicle being used on a road which does not have required documentation.

From Long Eaton Safer Neighbourhood Team, have a great weekend and take care.
