For Awareness in the Bakewell Area

Police have had a report of some suspicious activity in the Dagnall Gardens area of Bakewell.

In the early hours of this morning someone has been trying doors in the area.  An occupier has turned on an inside light and the person has quickly left and no entry gained.

Also weekend there was an incident at the top of Burton Close Drive, Bakewell where a summerhouse has been damaged to gain entry - nothing taken.

These incidents are worrying and upsetting for the people involved and cause the community to be unsettled.

Please be vigilant and look out for your neighbours,  If you see something that doesn't seem right, please report it to us, at the time, with as much detail as possible.  If someone is trying to get into your property or a neighbours property in the early hours of the morning, report via 999 as an emergency.  This will enable officers to attend immediately whilst the culprits are still in the area.

If you require any crime prevention advice, pop along to one of our community events and speak to your local PCSO.
