Erewash Walking Month

Erewash Walking Month will be running from Thursday 1st May until Saturday 31st May.

There are 42 walks running over 5 weeks and all walks are free of charge to attend.

Please note that 22 of the walks are taking place outside of the working day during evenings and weekends, so lots of opportunity for everyone to get outdoors and explore the local area through walking.

There are a range of walks on offer, whether you are interested in learning about local history, exploring nature, socialising with friends, taking a purposeful walk or simply challenging yourself. Further information can be found on Erewash Walking Month | Erewash Borough Council relating to information on terrain, bookings for some walks, and accessibility for children, dogs, wheelchairs and pushchairs.

Please also register to complete the Monthly 85 Mile Walking Challenge to walk 85 miles during National Walking Month of May which is 2.74 miles a day for 31 days and just under an hour’s daily walking.  To register your details, please go to 2025 Walking Challenge Registration | Let's Talk Erewash

Please note that everyone who completes the 85-mile walking challenge will receive a free adult general swim voucher and a 3-day gym pass (50 passes available) to use at either West Park Leisure Centre, Long Eaton or Victoria Park Leisure Centre, Ilkeston.

If you would like more information about the walking challenge or any of the walks, please contact Rachel Scott Rachel.Scott@erewash.gov.uk or communityhealthwellbeing@erewash.gov.uk
