Appeal launched after bike robbery in Derby park


We are appealing for information and for witnesses to come forward after a teenage boy was robbed of his bike in a Derby park.

The incident happened in Osmaston Park on Thursday 24 April at about 6.40pm.

The victim was approached by a man on foot who threatened him, took his bike and then rode off with it towards the park exit on Osmaston Park Road.

The suspect was about 5ft 10ins tall with a slim build, aged in his mid-20s and spoke with a local accent.  

He was wearing all black clothing, including a waist-length hooded rain type coat with the hood up and a face covering believed to be made of fleece material.

The stolen bike is described as an Invert Camo BMX Bike with 20inch wheels.

It is black with purple handle grips with black, white and grey camouflage detail around the wheel trim.
