Community Engagement today

Officers from the Safer Neighbourhood Team have been out and about throughout the morning, afternoon and into the evening doing engagements, attending incident and conducting patrols around the town centre of Bakewell plus the rural parts of our beat area we cover.

During the morning PCSO Radcliffe spent some time outside Bakewell Infants school and on Bridge Street, doing Community Engagements and speaking to passers-by who had any concerns offering crime prevention advice.

In the afternoon, PCSO Boswell was joined by Alena Greenwood from the @derbyshiredales Community Safety Partnership at the Book Swap café held at @GreatLongstoneVillageHall .

While at the café, both PCSO Boswell and Alena spoke to people who attended the café about their concerns, offered crime prevention, and completed Derbyshire Talking surveys to those who wished to complete them and tell us their concerns.

These Community Engagements also known as Community Catch Up’s, gives you the opportunity to speak with your local beat regarding concerns that you have, sign up to Derbyshire Alert, complete a Derbyshire Talking survey and ask about crime prevention etc.

If you would like the team to hold a Community Catch Up Event in your community, or even attend an event you are holding plus do talk at schools and community group, please get in touch via the following contact method asking for Bakewell SNT.
