👮🏼‍♀️ GOOD NEWS - LOCAL CHILD HELPS GET EMERGENCY SERVICES TO A FIRE 👮🏼

During a patrol around the Leisure Centre we were stopped by a young boy, (who used to be in our Mini Police class the previous year) to tell us that over the previous week, there was a fire in the woods around Rainbow Park, (Model Village).

He went on to tell us that he dialled 999 and asked for the Fire Service and that he remembered what to do from learning this in the classes.

We go into schools to educate children not only in what we do and how we are here to help but also how they can help our community and what they need to do in a real emergency.

We'd like to say a huge thanks to this brave young boy who remembered everything he had been taught from Mini Police and got the right help to the scene of a fire.

If you ever need to look for a reason as to why Neighbourhoods Policing is vital and why we regularly go into our local schools - this is it!!! 👏🏼
