Glossop SNT - Community Event VE Day
Glossop is commemorating the 80th anniversary of VE Day, the end of World War II in Europe, on May 8, 2025.
The focus is on encouraging communities to participate and celebrate the end of the war in Europe.
Today The Glossop Branch of the Royal British Legion will be holding a short service at 11 am by Glossop Cenotaph on Norfolk Square, Glossop.
UK Government buildings will observe a two-minute national silence at 12:00 on Thursday 8 May 2025 to mark the 80th anniversary of VE Day (Victory in Europe Day).
