PC Williams and PC Boniface has been patrolling around the area where a suspicious vehicle was sighted on Lowes Lane, Swarkestone.

Following a short conversation with a very nervous driver clearly not wanting to talk to us any longer, The driver accelerates harshly backwards to the point it crashes into road signs and travels into a hedge before failing to stop.

Officers have pursued the vehicle where the vehicle has driven dangerously at high speeds and over junctions, small bridges and around Swarkestone village to Melbourne.

The driver has then decamped the vehicle and been chased on foot from Hickories pub towards Chellaston where he has been arrested.
