Good Choice/Bad Choice (ASB & Crime) Input for Students at the Peak Forest Centre


Glossop SNT - School Engagement/Input

 

PCSO Buller from the Glossop YET (Youth Engagement Team) attended The Peak Forest Centre (part of First Steps Together), Stockport Rd, Hyde, this morning, Thursday 12th June.

 

The Peak Forest Centre offer an alternative education approach for children and young people in the Glossopdale and Longdendale areas.

 

Glossop YET had been invited by the school to complete an input with 2 classes, on 'Good Choice/Bad Choice (ASB & Crime). 

 

🗣️ We discussed the following with the students 

🔷 What is a Crime?

🔷 What is Anti Social Behaviour?

🔷 Examples of ASB

🔷 Why might someone commit ASB/Crime?

🔷 Excuses?

🔷 Why do we need laws?

🔷 Age of Criminal Responsibility!

🔷 How do victims feel and how is the communitry affected?

🔷 Types of crimes!

🔷 Speak Out - Using Fearless.org (100% anonymous on line reporting tool, specifically designed for young people). 

 

Thank you to the headteacher and staff for accommodating the visit and especially to the students who engaged with the team during the input today.
