SNT Updates

We are seeing a big increase in motorbike thefts and would like to share some crime prevention advice with you all to prevent this from happening. This advice can be found on the following link: https://www.police.uk/cp/crime-prevention/keeping-vehicles-safe/theft-motorcycles-scooters/

Officers have been investigating these offences by conducting CCTV enquiries at their locations where they've been stolen from. An incident was reported to us by a member of the public where a motorbike had been stashed away at the Big Dipper Park in Oakwood. Officers arrived, and then confirmed the vehicle as stolen, and was then recovered by it's owner.

Motorbikes and mopeds don't always get recovered, and we tend to come across them when they've been stolen, ridden around, and then set on fire destroying any possibility of gaining an identification of the bike preventing it from being united back with it's owner.

Please follow the above advice as this is becoming a daily occurrence. We want to make it as hard as possible for thieves being able to successfully steal your motorbike.

Thanks,

Chaddesden, Oakwood and Spondon Police SNT.
