School Input on 'Summer Safety' at Saint Philip Howard CVA, Glossop


Glossop SNT - School Engagement/Input 

PCSO Buller from Glossop YET (Youth Engagement Team) attended Saint Philip Howard Catholic Voluntary Academy, Sunlaws St, Glossop today, Wednesday 18th June.

The team had been invited to complete an input/assembly on ‘Summer Safety’ for their Year 7 students, this morning.

🗣️ We discussed the following 

🔹Outdoor Safety (Litter/BBQ's/Livestock etc).

🔹Camping Safety (Candles - Fire ‘Stop, drop,roll’, valuables).

🔹Water Safety (Cold Water Shock - Debris - ‘Float to Live’ video  & Never enter the water to help someone else in dificulty. Call 999 immediately).

🔹Derelict Buildings & Building Sites (unsafe,drops,machinery, toxic waste, unsafe electrics).

🔹Railways ( You can't out run a train, eletric lines/power, use appropriate crossings, its illegal to trespass on a railway).
