'ASB Awareness Week' - School Engagement at Saint Philip Howard CVA, Glossop - Wednesday 2nd July

Glossop SNT - School Engagement/Input

PCSO Buller from Glossop YET (Youth Engagement Team) attended Saint Philip Howard Catholic Voluntary Academy, Sunlaws St, Glossop, earlier this week, on Wednesday 2nd July. The team had been invited to attend and complete inputs for all or their year 7 students on ASB (Anti-Social Behaviour) during a ‘Drop down day’ a part of their PHSE class - This was in conjuction with ‘ASB Awareness Week’.

We discussed the following

  • What is Anti-social behaviour (the causing of harassment, alarm or distress that causes a nuisance to the community or impact on the environment)?.
  • What type of anti-social behaviour do you think happens in your community?
  • What is the impact? on victims - on offenders and on the local community?
  • What are the consequences?
  • How to report ASB!

We also promoted Fearless.org which is an online reporting tool. It is  specifically designed for young people to report ASB/Crime 100% anonymously - Fearless is in fact part of Crime stoppers.

Thankyou to the headteacher and staff for accommodating the inputs today and especially to those students who engaged and chatted with the team today.
