Parking in Pilsley

Good Afternoon,

PCSO Morton and SC Schofield attended Parkhouse Primary Community Summer Fayre this afternoon, it was a great turn out and lovely to engage with members of the local community! ☀️

Unfortunately, we were also made aware of some issues with parking, these vehicles were asked to move.
In light of this, please see the advice below re parking.

Park Safely - Park Legally

DO NOT stop or park near a school entrance, keep off school 'keep clear' markings
DO NOT double park to pick up or drop off children from vehicles
DO consider parking further away from school and do consider walking 5-10 minutes further
DO consider local residents and whether they have access onto and off their driveway
DO remember that people in wheelchairs or using pushchairs may need to pass by your car on the pavement

The police can remove your unattended vehicle if you cause an obstruction. This means blocking a driveway or a path even for a short amount of time.

We will be taking positive action with any vehicles parking dangerously, tickets and fines can be issued for those in a dangerous position. Pavements are for pedestrians, not parked vehicles.

We will continue to monitor all our schools until the end of the school year, and we know there will be lots of fun events coming up!, whilst we want you to enjoy these events, your help in the matter is greatly appreciated. 👮‍♂️🚓
