Tickets issued during Tuesday Evening patrols

On Tuesday evening this week, officers from the Safer Neighbourhood Team attended reports of vehicles dangerously parked on Alport Lane, Alport near Youlgrave.

Fixed Penalty notices were issued to vehicles that were parked contravening the white line system with no owners being present and with one vehicle narrowing missing out on being taken away on the tow truck due to the driver returning to the vehicle. They were spoken to regarding their actions and the dangers they had caused by leaving their vehicle in such manner.

The drivers of the vehicles who had contravened the white line system, had even parked next to sign advising them of the offence by parking at the location.

This is the reason that the Safer Neighbourhood Team will continue to enforce the prohibition of parking at these locations where a white line system is present.

We all share the road, so let’s be responsible and park properly! 🚗
