Police engagement with Chesterfield Deaf Society.

PCSO Sue Gouldsbrough from Chesterfield Safer Neighbourhood Team is also part of the PLOD (Police Link Officer for Deaf People) team. Sue is currently working towards her level two British Sign Language qualification.

On Saturday 12th of July Sue visited Chesterfield Deaf Society with the PLOD Manager Pete Rawlings. Together they gave inputs to the members of the society about the British Sign Language 101 and 999 services. These services enable members of the Deaf/deaf community to contact the Police in both emergency and none emergency situations.

It was great to see everyone, both Sue and Pete look forward to their next visits!
