Man arrested after fight in Derby street

A man has been arrested after a fight in a Normanton street.

The incident took place at 5.30pm yesterday (28 July) in Alder Walk, and saw a group of men fighting, a number of whom were armed with knives.

One group, made up of three men who all had their faces covered, left the scene on an electric motorcycle.

A 19-year-old man from Derby was arrested on suspicion of affray and possession of a knife and remains in police custody. This is understood to be an isolated incident and involves individuals believed to be known to one another. 

Officers have recovered footage that shows the incident and are keen to speak to anyone who may have any further footage or information about those involved.
