Appeal launched to find man in CCTV following theft at Sainsbury’s in Ashbourne

We are appealing for the public’s help in identifying the man pictured as part of our investigation into a theft from Sainsbury’s in Ashbourne.

A man entered the shop and filled his trolley with a number of items and made his way towards the self-checkout area.

He pretended to make payment but left the store with the items without paying for them.

The incident happened at the store in King Edward Street at about 10.40am on Sunday 13 July.

Officers have now released a CCTV image of a man we would like to speak to in relation to the incident.
