Uninsured vehicle recovered in Buxton

During proactive mobile patrols over the weekend, local neighbourhood police officers encountered a vehicle operating in a suspicious manner within the town centre  Upon conducting a check of the vehicle's details, it was revealed that it was being driven without valid insurance.

With the assistance of local officers, the two male occupants of the vehicle were subjected to a stop and search under the Misuse of Drugs Act.  Cue, the recovery truck, resulting in the removal of yet another uninsured driver from the roads.

It is important to note that driving without insurance can result in a fixed penalty of £300 and the addition of six penalty points to one’s driving license.
