FREE Bike Marking Event in Darley Dale TODAY |
||
FREE Bike Security marking Event at Whitworth Park, Darley Dale today from 1730 - 1830 at the youth club. To register your bike in the UK, the most widely used and police-approved platform is BikeRegister. Here's how it works and how you can get started: 🚲 What is BikeRegister? You can manage your registration and check second-hand bikes via the mobile-friendly site or the BikeRegister app. 🛡️ Why Register? If you already have a BikeRegister account you can register additional bikes yourself through your bike register account. Otherwise, come along and I will sort it out for you. Please locate and make a note of your bike serial number before you attend to avoid any hold-ups. You can usually find a bike's serial number (also called a frame number) in one of these common locations: Under the Bottom Bracket (most common): Flip the bike upside down and look underneath where the pedals and crank arms meet. The number is often stamped into the metal. Check the rear triangle of the frame, near where the rear wheel attaches. Look at the front of the bike where the front fork passes through the frame. Sometimes it's on the vertical tube that holds the seat post or the diagonal tubes connecting to the rear wheel. Occasionally, it’s on the crank arm or the chainstay (the part of the frame near the chain). Some modern bikes have a sticker with a barcode or QR code, often under a clear coat or near the bottom bracket. Tips - Use a flashlight if the number is hard to see. It might be engraved or printed and could be a mix of letters and numbers. If you still can't find it check any purchase documents, warranty cards or manufacturers app / website. #SaferStreetsDerbyshire | ||
