🚲 Bike Marking Event 🚲 : Mon 27 Oct from 2.30 pm in Bankswood Park, Hadfield

Glossop SNT - Bike Marking and Youth Engagement Event 

Hadfield Safer Neighbourhood Team will be at the ‘Bunp Track’ in Bankswood Park Hadfield on Monday 27th October (the ½ Term Holiday) from 2.20 pm.

The team will be there promoting ‘Bike Register’ - so come along - you'll be able to meet the team - you will be able to register your bicycles for free and receive crime prevention advice too!  Everyone is welcome and it would be great to see you there

There are plans for some exhibition riding (to be confirmed) and the possibility of some sort of competition for riders aged 11 - 16 yrs. with prizes and give aways and some light refreshments.

If attending please ensure that all riders turn up with helmets including any knee and elbow pads if possible - including their home address and contact details  - as this is necessary for the registration for bike register to take place.

By registering on BikeRegister it means you could be reunited with your bike in the event of it being stolen, but it does not help make it a hard target to thieves.  website www.bikeregister.com

▪️ The site also enables members of the public to check 2nd hand bikes to assist them in trying to avoid purchasing stolen    goods.

▪️ The team encourage those who buy, or who are thinking of buying a new bicycle, to consider using BikeRegister. 

▪️ We'd like you to consider insuring your new bike too. 

▪️Take a picture - record all serial numbers as well. Use bike locks and chains 

▪️ when not being used - put the bike away in a secure place and cover it up if necessary.
