Appeal after man found with serious head injury in road near Linton

We are appealing for the public’s help after a man was found with serious injuries near Linton, near Swadlincote.

The man was found with a serious head injury at 12.50am on 18 October in Hillside Road, Linton, at the junction of The Scotts.

He was taken to hospital, where he remains in a serious condition. His family are aware.

It is unknown at this time how the man came by his injuries and officers are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area the time – particularly any drivers with dashcam.

The man, who is in his 50s, was wearing grey/blue long sleeved Fred Perry style shirt with distinctive burgundy pinstripe collar. He was walking away from Linton and towards High Cross Bank.
