Glossop SNT - Clocks go back this weekend

The clocks will go back 1 hour on Sunday 26th October  marking the end of the daylight saving period.

It means the time will jump back an hour when it hits 2am - and yes, it means you will gain an hour of sleep.

But the loss of an hour of daylight will mean shorter, darker days until spring.

When the clocks go back, the UK is on Greenwich Mean Time (GMT).
