Community Engagements in Tintwistle and Old Glossop today - Sunday 26th October

Glossop SNT - Community Engagements

PCSO Buller from Glossop SNT popped round to the ’The Cabin' home of TAGA (Tintwistle Allotment Gardeners Association) off Old Rd, Tintiwstle this morning, Sunday 26th October.

It was good to see members of the group/community there - including some visitors calling in for some essentials such as eggs, fruit & veg and gardening supplies for sale etc. The visit gave the team a chance to display some useful posters on their notice board - with the emphasis on crime prevention tips and advice, plus the opportunity to dsicuss and engage with the community over a cup of coffee and some cake.

Later on PCSO Buller called iin at All saints Catholic Church, Church St, Old Glossop to have a chat and engage with members of the congregation after mass. Again it was good to speak with and listen to them all in a relaxed environment with another cuppa.

By engaging with our varied communities and groups throughout our area maintains a visible presence, which helps foster open dialogue with the community, about local concerns and a chance for the community to meet members of the safer neighbourhood team.
