Nuisance Motorbikes and Burglary Awareness

New Mills Safer Neighbourhood Team have received several reports today of two males riding around New Mills on a motorbike with no VRM.  It is believed these males may have been on the look out for cars / bicycles to steal. Unfortunately officers were unable to locate these males today.

We kindly request that members of the public remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity as it occurs. As we enter this time of year, we tend to observe an increase in such offences due to the longer hours of darkness. We encourage all residents to take preventive measures, including leaving exterior lights on when the premises are unoccupied and ensuring that all car / shed doors are left locked and secure overnight.
