An Audi A3 which has previously made off from officers in the early hours makes another appearance around our borders. Now being on our radar, the vehicle was monitored on ANPR and found to commit a fuel theft in the early hours.

Stinger sites set up in Swadlincote to welcome the vehicle back to Derbyshire. Pre-emptive stinger deployed. Vehicle fails to stop and attempts to make off from officer before realising he no longer had a steering capability as he travels around Cadley Hill roundabout. Driver assisted in being removed from the vehicle by us and arrested.
