Persistent Drug Supply Disrupted in Midway

Earlier this year, PCSO Anwar gathered intelligence regarding the supply of cannabis and cannabis-infused products being distributed from Swadlincote to other parts of the country.

This led our team to an address in Midway, where a male was arrested for possession with intent to supply Class B drugs. A large quantity of drugs and supply-related items were seized.

Not getting the message the first time, further visits to the same address in August and October uncovered more suspected supply activity. 

On each occasion, the male was arrested and further evidence was recovered — including a substantial amount of cannabis products, with help from an enthusiastic Spaniel from Derbyshire Police Dog Section

Following a thorough investigation, CPS authorised six charges: three for attempted supply and three for possession with intent to supply Class B drugs.

Stephen Luttrell, 39, of Masefield Avenue, Midway, was charged and remanded to prison pending his court hearing.
