Hi All,

On the 29th October 2025 a van was stolen from Salisbury Drive, Midway. PC Marno from Swadlincote Response Team conducted a thorough investigation and managed to identify the offender as Neil Wakelam, placing him as wanted.

On 2nd November 2025 PC Holmes-Small and PC Williams were on patrol when they spotted the offender and arrested him.

PC Marno continued the investigation whilst the male was in custody, charging and remanding the male for theft of vehicle and traffic offences. Neil Wakelam, 49 years of age, of Uttoxeter New Road Derby has now been convicted at court receiving 26 weeks imprisonment and has been disqualified from driving for 272 days.
