School Engagement/Lunchtime Drop-in Session at New Mills School - Promoting Anti-Bullying Week'

Glossop SNT - School Engagement/Lunchtime Drop-in Session

PCSO Buller of the Glossop Youth Engagement Team (YET) completed a lunchtime drop-in session at New Mills Secondary School, Church Lane, New Mills today, Monday 10th November.

Today is the first day of  ‘Anti-Bullying Week 2025’ - running from Monday 10th November until  Friday 14th November.

The visit today allowed the team to display information about ‘Power For Good’ with the focus on how we can actively use our Power for Good, and what we can do to stop bullying.

This was a great opportunity whilst attending the school to talk about anti-bullying. with the aim to empower the young people to speak out, support others, and to try and create a kinder world. The Anti-Bullying Alliance organizes this week in England, Wales, and Northern Ireland.

The visit was also an ideal occasion to complete some Derbyshire Talking Youth Surveys with some of the students during their lunchtime break this afternoon.

Thank you from the team to the headteacher and staff for accommodating the visit today and especially to the young people who completed youth surveys and engaged with the team this afternoon.
