Local bike thefts |
||
|
Good morning all,
I am just getting in contact with you in regards to the recent surge that we have seen in attempted thefts and thefts of motorbikes, mopeds and scooters. These thefts are normally of an optimistic nature where the thieves will ride around and look for any parked and insecure bikes that they can target. The thieves will also target bikes that are for sale on selling sites such as Facebook Market Place.
If your bike is stolen or you see any suspicious activity do not put yourself at risk, call the police immediately on 999. Please report any suspicious behaviour.
Officers from SNT will be conducting a mixture of plain clothes patrols and high visibility patrols over the coming weeks in the main hotspot areas. Ways to keep your bike safe: Consider fitting a Thatcham-rated 1 or 2 alarm system with tracking, immobilisation, anti-grab and movement sensors can help protect and trace your vehicle.
