Resident Today the South Normanton & Pinxton team along with Bolsover Community Safety Partnerships, have been out and about around Broadmeadows park and South Street Rec, conducting preventative knife sweeps as part of the national Operation Sceptre week of action.
Whilst we know it is the minority of people who think it is acceptable to carry a knife, it can have devastating consequences when they do.
This proactive work means that we can check for any discarded knives or weapons and safely dispose of them, keeping them from getting into the wrong hands.
