Op Sceptre has begun in Derbyshire Constabulary. Our team have already been around the area and conducted a knife sweep, thankfully no knives were found.
Op Sceptre is a weeklong initiative to tackle knife and knife-enable crime. During this week, your Safer Neighbourhood Team will be out and about engaging with our residents through, school engagements, where we work closely with schools to educate young people about the dangers of knife crime – the campaign works with those at risk of becoming involved with knife crime, diverting them towards a better life, through explaining the consequences of carrying/using knives for the wrong purpose.
