School Engagement has part of Op Sceptre Week |
||
|
We’re keen to talk to young people about the impact that knife crime can have and ways to support our plea to #DropTheKnife. This afternoon officers from the Safer Neighbourhood Team have been at the following schools Biggin C of E Primary School and Lady Manners School talking to the year 5 children from primary school and year 10 pupils from the secondary school as part of Operation Sceptre. Whilst it is the minority of people who choose to carry knives in Derbyshire, it can have a devastating impact, and by carrying a knife those people are also putting themselves more at risk of being hurt. By talking to schools about the impact and answering their questions, we can educate people on the many ways #knivesshatterlives, and together we can keep knife crime out of the county. Thank you to the children and teachers for their engagement this afternoon! #OpSceptre #Derbyshire #DerbyshireSaferTogether
