Youth engagement as part of Op Sceptre week

Today, PCSO Coldicott & PCSO Lunnun visited Mercia Academy as part of our Youth Engagement team’s lunchtime sessions, speaking with students about the dangers of knife crime and staying safe.

✅ Carrying a knife doesn’t make you safer—it puts you at greater risk of harm.
✅ Even though only a minority choose to carry, the impact can be devastating.

By answering questions and having conversations around the impact of knife crime, we’re helping young people understand why #KnivesShatterLives and how we can keep Derbyshire safe together.
