PCSO Leverington and PC Biggs, our Youth Engagement Team here on Derby North, have been in Allestree Woodlands School, Landau Forte and the Royal School for the Deaf this week, delivering inputs to all age groups on the subject of knife crime. The students were taught about the laws and legislations surrounding knife offences, and the potential punishments for young people. The students aged 11-18 were given the opportunity to discuss the topic and ask questions of our officers, and the team have been impressed with how well they engaged and gave thought to this serious subject.
