Patrols and Community Engagement from today |
||
|
Throughout the afternoon and into the late evening officers from the Safer Neighbourhood Team have been out and about conducting patrols has part of our burglary priority.
In between these patrols, as part of Op Sceptre week we have held community engagements events in Baslow and Bakewell offering the opportunity for members of the community to dispose of any unwanted knives while the amnesty bins were present. Thank you to everyone who spoke to us today. Together, we can encourage anyone thinking about carrying weapons to #DropTheKnife. (image of some of the knives handed in today)
Officers have also spent sometime today at MHA Moorland House in Hathersage in relation to the Forget Me Knots event which was being held at the residential care centre and then attended a parish council meeting in Darley Dale.
During the early evening, officers also stopped by the 623 club in Curbar and spoke to the children about the topic of Road Safety. Throughout the talk, the children were very enthusiastic about the topic discussed and asked questions throughout our time doing the talk.
If you would like the team to visit your school or community group, please get in touch via the following contact method asking for Bakewell SNT
