CCTV image released following robbery in Derby street

We have released CCTV of two people we would like to speak with as part of our investigation into a robbery on a Derby street.

The incident happened when a woman aged in her 60s was followed by a man and woman down Normanton Road at about 3pm on Sunday 23 November.

When the victim reached a bus stop, the other two people have forcibly grabbed her wrists and attempted to place fake jewellery on her.

Whilst the victim was distracted, the suspects have then snatched the woman’s expensive gold necklace before fleeing the area in a silver VW Passat with the registration starting KX53.

Officers have made extensive enquiries since the robbery and have arrested a 37-year-old woman and a 40-year-old man in connection with the incident.

We have now released a CCTV image of two people we would like to speak with in relation to the incident.
