Community Catch-Up at Co-Op

Evening all,

PCSO Ashton has had a busy day around Tibshelf, finishing my Community Catch-Up at Co-Op tonight while listening to concerns following the incident near Tibshelf Secondary School.

I want to reassure everyone that when I’m on duty, I carry out patrols across our local areas on a varied shift pattern, focusing on the priorities we’ve set together. We regularly update and engage with residents during our weekly community catch-ups in Tibshelf, Newton, Blackwell, Westhouses, and Hilcote—as many of you will know.

It’s important to highlight that the police have always worked hard to support community issues and provide positive input wherever possible.

Understandably, incidents like today’s RTC can leave people feeling let down or looking for someone to blame. However, this particular incident was not related to speeding concerns or pavement parking, which we’ve raised before. 
While the investigation is ongoing, it’s important not to speculate or assign blame—these situations often involve multiple factors.

Our focus remains on sharing positive messages and encouraging open dialogue, with the hope of a positive outcome. Please come and speak to us at our community engagements if you have concerns or ideas. If we can help in any way—as those who know me will understand—we will, because supporting our community is a key part of our role as the SNT.
