The South Normanton and Pinxton Safer Neighbourhood policing team spotted a suspicious moped along Alfreton Road, South Normanton on 9th September 2025. The rider failed to stop for police and was pursued through to Alfreton where they attempted to run away. The rider was swiftly detained and arrested for traffic offences/drugs offences and assault on a police officer.
We are pleased to let you know that the 17 year old rider attended court on 12th December 2025 and has been disqualified from driving for 12 months and will need to pass an extended driving test before he can drive again. He has also received a Youth Referral order for 6 months.
